Punta Bulata Resort & Spa: Our personal experience

Our kids really love going to the beach and enjoy playing the sand so whenever we plan to go “beaching”, we always choose places with good sand. Their safety is also a priority for us since we are still in pandemic. With all that in mind, we decided to choose Punta Bulata Resort and Spa to celebrate the birthday of our daughter.

In this article, we will share with you our personal experience in this incredible place. You may also check Punta Bulata’s room rates directly at the resort which is way cheaper than the prices online. With their current campaign, we were able to save 25% off the original price of the room.

Travel requirements

Once you made up your mind about where to go, the next thing you should do is to secure a booking. Upon doing so, you need to register into legit S-Pass where you input your personal information such as your name, place of origin, destination, date of arrival, and departure.

Upon finishing, secure a copy of an individual-generated QR code which will be presented together with each guest’s ID upon arrival. Note that it is okay if the pass has not yet been approved or is pending for approval.

For an updated list of the travel guidelines, kindly check their Facebook page or give them a call.

Road to Punta Bulata from the main road

It’s been said that difficult roads lead to a beautiful destination. It is somehow evident in your entry to Punta Bulata Resort and Spa. Since the road is currently under development, you have to pass through a 13-minute rugged course enduring bumps and muds (if it’s raining). In our case, it was quite a struggle going there via sedan. It might, however, be easier if you are traveling through SUVs, pick-up trucks, and other off-road vehicles.

You’ll know you are right there already when you finally see in front of you a dark green gate and the name “Punta Bulata Beach Resort and Spa” engraved on the left side of it. The gate is always close so you have to blow your horn to signal the guard so he may wide-open it for your arrival. The next essential thing to do upon arriving is settling matters in their office like paying cash to avail a discount.

The Beach Casita

What you will behold is a paradise worth the off-road hassle. We happened to book at Beach Casita. A white-painted house near Hillside Casita and located 300 meters away from the hotel. With a large parking area, you can be assured that your service vehicle will have its own place of rest.

Punta Bulata Beach Casita
Punta Bulata Beach Casita. Good for 4, max of 6 pax. Located far south of the resort.

Isolated as it may seem, we are happy to have it laid near the shore where we can tread 10 steps towards our “private beach.”Private because we can exclusively hang in there without other guests.

Inside the house lay 2 airconditioned bedrooms, a kitchen with utensils and burner and LPG, a  bathroom with shower and a heater, a 6-seater dining table, a TV set with Cignal cable, and extra 2 beds facing the dining.

The whole place

Around the Resort’s perimeter are its primary amenities such as an infinity pool fronting the beach. What you have imagined in the picture is what you will see for real. The blue water pool design for adults and kids alike entices you to dip down your toes.

And a long and wide fine shore resting under the shade of trees is a sure spot for you and your kids to enjoy playing with sand without getting their skin burned directly to the sun.

Punta Bulata shore
It was a beautiful shore with very fine white sand perfect for kids to play.

Roaming around, you will spot mini huts where you can take a sip of your drinks or drop for a conversation while looking at the waves touching the shore.

You don’t have to worry about your breakfast, anyway, since it is served free of your accommodation. You only have to visit this cabin to place your order and preferred time to eat. It was advised to set your meal 30 minutes before your preferred time so the crew can have ample time to prepare.

Punta Bulata Restaurant
La Veranda. The restaurant is open from 7AM to 10PM. Last order is 9 PM.

You may ask to set your breakfast anywhere you want even inside your room, but it is best served where your eyes will also be full with an amazing view like this.

You can choose anywhere you want to have your free breakfast.

These are just some of the amenities you’ll get to enjoy here. Walking around you’ll see more than these. Above all others, what made Punta Bulata a place worth visiting is its very relaxing ambiance coupled with a serene and private vibe. Ideal for travelers who seek peace and tranquility. Besides, Wherever you go, you can stop and take a shot because everywhere is Instagram-worthy.

If there can be something to improve, somehow it would be the trimming of high-growing grass to get a better view of the beach from the Beach Casita and the road to get fully constructed so the way going in will be a lot easier and faster.
